Empire Direct Vent Pro Vinyl Siding Standoff

The Empire 46DVA-VSS (Empire price list SD46DVAVSS) is the DuraVent DirectVent Pro vinyl siding standoff for 4" x 6-5/8" horizontal terminations. It mounts between the cap and the outside wall so the cap stands off the siding.

Installation Notes

• Vinyl siding: Empire's manuals call for a vinyl siding standoff when the wall is finished with vinyl siding or another material that could discolor or warp. It goes between the cap and the wall, and the cap bolts to its flat face, leaving an air space.
• Spirit stoves: the Spirit direct-vent stove manual calls for the 46DVA-VSS on any sided wall, vinyl or aluminum.
• Cap location: per the Tahoe Deluxe manual, the bottom of the cap must be at least 12" above the ground, the top at least 18" below a combustible projection, and the cap at least 9" from a wall running parallel to it. The cap must not be recessed into the wall or siding.
• Vent limits: allowed lengths, elbows and termination clearances differ from one appliance to the next. Follow the venting section of your appliance's manual and the vent systems it approves.
