Empire Tahoe Clean-Face Contemporary 42" Gas Fireplace, IP
The Empire Tahoe Clean-Face Contemporary 42" trades logs for a modern fire: flames rise through a ceramic fiber rock set and crushed glass, in front of a black porcelain liner that reflects the light back into the room.
It is a zero-clearance direct vent gas fireplace built for in-wall installation, with intermittent pilot control (model numbers DVCC42BP72N and DVCC42BP72P). The black porcelain liner and the barrier screen come with it.
The Empire Tahoe Clean-Face Contemporary 42": A Modern Fire for a Bigger Room
With up to 26,500 Btu/hr on natural gas or propane and a 36 1/2" x 26 3/8" viewing area, the Contemporary 42" suits a family room, a great room or an open living area. The unit is 17 1/2" deep and vents 4" x 6 5/8" from the top.
On these intermittent pilot models, the ignition runs on an AC adapter with battery backup, and the fireplace works with the optional remotes, wall controls and the variable flame remote kit.

Make It Yours: Crushed Glass and Light
The rock set gives the fire its base, and the crushed glass sets the color: black polished, blue clear, clear frost or copper reflective.
Add the LK6 lighting kit to light up the glass and the FBB10 blower to move more warm air, each with its own dimmer.

FAQs
Which Tahoe is right for me?
The Contemporary 42" is the clean-face trim built around a rock set and crushed glass instead of logs. The Tahoe Clean-Face line comes in four trims. Contemporary (32", 36" and 42") burns over a rock set and crushed glass with a black porcelain liner included. Deluxe (32", 36" and 42") includes a six-piece ceramic fiber log set on a contour burner and vents from the top or the rear. Premium (32", 36" and 42") takes a hand-painted ceramic fiber log set, ordered separately, and offers aged brick, rustic brick or black porcelain liners. Luxury (36" and 42") has ceramic glass, an included log set, up to 40,000 Btu/hr and a multi-function model with the blower and light built in. There are also 36" see-through and peninsula models, and the traditional louvered Tahoe. Our Tahoe Deluxe vs. Premium vs. Luxury guide goes into more detail.
What do I need to order with it?
The rock set (LR3236FF) and crushed glass in the color you like; this size takes one and a half bags of crushed glass, so order two. The liner and barrier screen are included.
Does it work during a power outage?
Yes, on battery backup: the intermittent pilot runs on an AC adapter with battery backup. The optional blower and lighting kit need a 120V supply.
How big is the framing?
44" wide, 49 1/4" high and 17 5/8" deep.
