Primo Oval X-Large ceramic charcoal grill set in a Primo Cypress grill table on a patio

Primo Ceramic Grills

Primo ceramic charcoal grills are made in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, USA. The Oval comes in four sizes, XX-Large, X-Large, Large and Junior, and its patented oval shape gives you two cooking zones: sear on one side while you roast on the other. The Primo Round is the compact round kamado. Each grill comes as an All-In-One with its stand and side shelves, or as a ceramic body only for a cart, cradle, table or built-in island. Below the grills you'll find the carts, tables, island tops, covers and cooking accessories sized for each model.

Primo Oval and Round Grills by Size

All-In-One or Ceramic Body Only

An All-In-One ships with its heavy-duty stand, fold-down side shelves, ash tool and grate lifter, ready to use on a patio or deck. A ceramic body only is the grill head on its own: pair it with a cart, cradle or Cypress table, or set it into an outdoor kitchen island. Each body-only page lists the stands that fit it under "What to Order With It", and links the cut-out template and spec sheet for built-in installs.

Primo Warranty

Primo covers the ceramic parts of its grills with a limited lifetime warranty for the original purchaser. Metal parts other than cast iron are covered for 5 years against rust-through, cast-iron and other parts for 1 year, and felt gaskets and thermometers for 30 days. Read the Primo warranty terms.

Primo FAQs

What is the difference between the Primo Oval and the Primo Round?

The Oval's patented shape gives two cooking zones, so you can sear over direct heat on one side while food cooks indirectly on the other. It comes in four sizes, from the Junior (210 sq in) to the XX-Large (500 sq in). The Round is the compact kamado with 280 sq in of cooking area.

Which Primo size should I get?

Compare cooking area: Junior 210 sq in, Round 280, Large 300, X-Large 400 and XX-Large 500. With the optional racks the Ovals reach 360, 495, 680 and 850 sq in.

What charcoal does a Primo use?

100% natural lump charcoal. Light it with a fire starter cube, a chimney starter or an electric starter. Never use lighter fluid in a ceramic grill: the ceramic absorbs it and it flavors the food.

What do I need with a ceramic body only grill?

Something to set it in: a Primo cart, cradle, Cypress table or a built-in island. The All-In-One already includes its stand and side shelves.

Where are Primo grills made?

In Poplar Bluff, Missouri, USA.
