Napoleon Direct Vent Gas Fireplaces
Direct vent means the firebox is sealed and vents through a wall or roof, drawing combustion air from outside. That makes it efficient and safe to place in a bedroom or a tightly built home. Napoleon's gas range covers traditional fireboxes in the Ascent and Elevation X series, clean-faced contemporary designs in Altitude X, and wide ribbon flames in the Vector and Ascent Linear Premium lines. Most models run on natural gas or liquid propane with a conversion kit.
Napoleon Electric Fireplaces
Electric needs no gas line, no chimney and no venting, so it goes almost anywhere. The Astound series spans 50" to 96" as a built-in, with FlexMount versions for surface or recessed installs. The Elevation X Electric gives you the Elevation look without the vent run, and the CLEARion Elite offers see-through viewing.
Napoleon Outdoor Gas Fireplaces
Build a fireplace into a covered patio or outdoor room with the Galaxy 50, also available in 62" and 74", or the traditional Riverside 42". Finish them with stainless steel covers, premium screens, decorative brick panels and an outdoor timer kit.

Napoleon Fireplace FAQs
What is the difference between Ascent, Elevation, Altitude X and Vector?
Ascent is the broad mainstream range with traditional and linear options. Elevation and Elevation X are the premium traditional fireboxes and are also offered in electric. Altitude X is a clean-faced contemporary square. Vector is the wide linear ribbon format, from 38" up to 74", including see-through models.
Should I choose gas or electric?
Gas produces real flame and meaningful heat but needs a gas line and a vent run, which means framing and a qualified installer. Electric plugs in or hardwires, needs no venting, and can be placed in a bedroom, basement or apartment. If the fireplace is mainly a visual feature, electric is usually simpler and cheaper to install.
Can a Napoleon gas fireplace run on propane?
Most Napoleon direct vent models are available for natural gas or liquid propane, and many can be converted with the correct Napoleon conversion kit. Conversions should be done by a qualified gas technician.
Do I need a specific vent kit?
Yes. Napoleon fireplaces use either 4"/7" or 5"/8" direct vent components depending on the model, and the run length and number of elbows affect what you need. Send us your model and the wall or roof path and we will put together the right vent list.
What size fireplace should I choose?
Measure the wall and the framed opening, and leave room for finish material and any required clearances. A fireplace spanning roughly half to two thirds of the wall reads as intentional. Send us your dimensions and we will recommend a model.
