Napoleon Elevation X 42" Direct Vent Gas Fireplace
A larger fireplace doesn't simply generate more heat; it transforms the way a room looks and feels.
The Napoleon Elevation X 42" Direct Vent Gas Fireplace features an expansive viewing area, impressive heating performance, and extensive customization options that make it an exceptional centerpiece for spacious living areas and luxury home designs.
Designers, contractors, and homeowners who need a fireplace with genuine presence will find the 42" model hits a different level entirely.
Napoleon Elevation X 42": Direct Vent Power for Larger Living Spaces
Heat output on this model reaches up to 45,000 BTUs, a meaningful step above the 36" version and well suited to larger rooms that need more than ambient warmth. The heat-circulating blower distributes that output efficiently, and the optional Dynamic Heat Control PLUS System takes things further by directing heat to specific zones throughout the home, even during power outages.
The ENDLESS EMBERS electric ember bed fills the firebox floor beneath the log set with modulating, glowing embers visible from every angle. Combined with the clean face design and a full-view firebox flame, the visual result is immersive. The eFIRE Remote App and included physical remote handle everything from flame height to blower speed, all from a single interface.

Personalizing the Elevation X 42"
One of the defining advantages of the Napoleon Elevation X 42" is the level of design flexibility it offers. Nearly every visible element can be customized. This lets you create a fireplace that feels fully integrated with your home's architecture and interior style.
Brick kit selection then shapes the firebox interior itself. MIRRO-FLAME panels create a sense of depth, making the flame appear larger and more layered. Herringbone and standard patterns across multiple color palettes allow the interior to be aligned with surrounding stonework, tile, or architectural finishes. Front and trim choices complete the picture, with combinations across three front styles and four trim finishes giving considerable range.

FAQs
How does the Elevation X 42" differ from the 36" model?
The primary differences are firebox width, viewing height, and BTU output. The 42" model offers a wider flame view at 42" across and 37-1/8" high, along with 45,000 BTUs compared to 37,000 on the 36" version, making it better suited to larger rooms.
Is the eFIRE Remote App included with purchase?
The physical remote control is included. The eFIRE Remote App is a free companion application that replicates the remote's full functionality on a mobile device. It covers flame modulation, blower control, split-flow adjustment, and ember bed lighting.
Can the decorative brick kit be changed after installation?
Brick kit selection is made at the time of purchase. Post-installation changes are not straightforward and may require professional involvement. Choosing the right kit upfront, in coordination with the room's overall finish palette, is the most practical approach.

Second purchase from this company - amazing customer service, they truly go above and beyond for their customers
I recently purchased the AOG 36" built-in grill as a replacement for my 13-year-old unit, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Delivery was smooth and well-coordinated, with the grill arriving perfectly packaged and in excellent condition. The quality and performance of the AOG speak for themselves, and Dreamwood will be my first choice for any future outdoor living purchases.
I knew I wanted the Napoleon vector 62 LP fireplace for Florida new build home. It needed special venting and Dreamwood sales was so helpful at explaining the three different options. I needed to understand the principles so we could design a surround to incorporate that venting. Three other places I called couldn’t seem to answer the questions. Joe at Dreamwood living was extremely helpful, competent and thorough. I would highly recommend them! This is a dropship item so you can buy it from them for anywhere in the country. JM Minneapolis

I bought this dynamic brand of sauna because I purchased this brand 10 years ago and have been very happy with it. It was a 2/3 person sauna and I wanted to downsize to a 1/2 person sauna for space reasons. The original one is still working so I gave to my son, who is a firefighter and they use them at the fire station which helps get impurities out of their bodies. So he has one to use at home now also
Sauna arrived with substantial packaging and undamaged. Assembly is easy with quick latch walls. Had to tap a little bit with a plastic mallet to engage corners but they came together nicely. Make sure that floor is oriented the way you want it with bench slots in back before assembling and that you have clearance for rear ceiling screws 9had to redo once). Took about 1.5 hours overall to assemble and start up. Unit has plenty of space for three. We were also wanted to be able to sit across the bench with feet up. At six feet I can fit with a little room to spare. So far we are enjoying and believe this was a good value.
I purchased the Orion 36" electric fireplace and I'm very satisfied with Dreamwood Living. They shipped it so fast, and it was well protected (see photo).
Joe was great to work with along the way. Sauna was back ordered by the manufacturer after ordering but it has now arrived and installed and working great.
The Dreamwood Team is TOP notch. Super helpful insight as we were debating what Sauna to move forward with initially as well as throughout the purchasing process. I found the team to be super knowledgeable. We had a missing part when the Sauna arrived and the Dreamwood Team acted fast to help us work out a resolution. Would definitely recommend using them. When we buy move we will 100% be buying from them again. Happy to talk live with anyone that is considering.
After shopping extensively for a grill truly manufactured in the USA using domestic materials, not just a grill assembled here using "globally sourced" parts, I finally realized that it might not make sense to spend thousands more for a grill that might outlive me, but I did not want to buy another overseas product. Made In North America/Canada was going to have to be good enough, and the deal at Dreamwood Living made the decision even easier. "Sarah" was very helpful in answering all of my questions over several visits to their site. They had the best deal that I was able to find at that time.
The unit was securely packaged for shipping, and arrived in great condition. Delivery was scheduled ahead and Dreamwood and the trucking company were in touch several times to confirm arrival, and were right on time. Excellent.
I've only had this grill for a few weeks, but I have so far used the sear station several times, done direct and indirect cooks, and used the rotisserie and rotisserie basket, trying to get a feel for the grill. So far I'm impressed. There's plenty of heat when needed, and though I haven't done any structured testing, it seems that cooking temps across the grill surface are reasonably even. I am pleased with my decision to purchase the 665 vs. the 500, simply because of the extra real estate, extra burners and cooking flexibility that all of that gives me. The fancy control knob lights are for me just fluff, but I do appreciate the internal grill lights when cooking in the evenings. Now that we're into October, those lights will be useful more often. I'd be very much surprised if I were to find out that the LED lights and controls were not made overseas, but I was willing to accept that knowing that the heart of the grill was manufactured on this continent.
The grill construction seems to be of good quality materials and manufacturing. Except for the hood liner, all parts of the grill head are 304 S/S including the firebox, or are cast aluminum. Surfaces are nicely finished, though there are a few sharp edges to be careful of when doing the minimal assembly required. I am somewhat concerned over the use of hardware assembly vs. welding in some places, so I can only hope that Napoleon has also used good quality 300 series stainless hardware. I might still expect to have to replace some of that over time. That would be one of the compromises vs. some of the other grills I had considered. The drip tray is also stainless, which is appreciated given the corrosive nature of grilling. I'd expect that the outdoor environment, salts, sauces and heat will eventually take their toll, though I will try to minimize that with regular cleaning and a cover. The heat deflectors are 18 ga (.050) S/S, as are the flame runners, and the tube burners are 16 ga (.063), but I had some issues with those components in my previous Napoleon grill, so I am only cautiously optimistic regarding their durability. I will note that the 665 tube burners are heavier stainless than the 18 ga burners on my older Napoleon that was made overseas, so there is reason to hope. I must say that the warranty helped to influence my decision, especially when considering that when those parts burned out on my previous Napoleon, the company replaced at no charge, or for only a partial fee even though they were somewhat beyond the warranty.
One of the things that I already miss on this grill is the lack of at hand storage, i.e. someplace to set your spices, sauces, and spritzers while cooking. If you're searing on the sear burner, and staging, slicing, using an induction burner for sauces or sides (nice to have the rotisserie outlet on the rear of the grill), or doing anything else at all on the opposite side shelf, you have nowhere to stash those aforementioned items. Fortunately for me, the base cabinet of my old Napoleon is still serviceable, and I plan to turn that into a prep station that I can keep right beside the new 665. Incidentally, the fact that my old base cabinet is still useable was another influence on my decision to save the $ and purchase this Napoleon. The cost of an all S/S cart on all of the other grills was a major contributor to the total cost deltas, with cart prices often not far from the cost of the head. IMO, carts were very overpriced in most instances given their simplicity, but since my old cart using powder coated galvanized steel was still serviceable after a dozen years, and the cart materials and finish on the new 665 were basically the same, I had to make that value based decision for the Napoleon.
Before I write about the Thor range, allow me to say a few words about my experience with Dreamwood Living.
I shopped around quite a bit before deciding to give them a go. Not only did they have the best price around for this stove, but good online reviews as well. My experience surpassed any expectation I had. The online ordering was easy, and all the interactions I had with the staff were wonderful. The range was shipped for free and fast. It was carefully packed, and received without a single ding. A+++ for customer service!
Now onto the range. I have had for a little over a month now. I am a professional chef, and wanted a solid range without bells and whistles (no electronic board that eventually breaks down and costs a fortune to replace), with powerful burners, a large oven with a convection option, and a good broiler. The Thor Dual Fuel range fits the bill. It is easy to clean and looks good to top it all. I have not encountered the clicking issue some reviewers have mentioned in the past. The oven is right on in terms of temperature, with minimal hot spots. The telescopic racks are helpful when checking doneness, and to remove dishes from the oven.
I love the big control knobs, and particularly appreciate the fact that they are made of solid metal (my previous GE Cafe range knobs started to melt shortly after I had purchased it, and given the much higher price tag, it was a big let-down).
I wish this range came with a fifth burner in the middle, either small or elongated for large Dutch ovens. There is room for it, but it wasn’t a deal breaker.
This range does not have a self-cleaning oven option, which is not recommended anyway.
I have cooked on a lot of different stoves, including many high-end ones (Wolf, Thermador, Monogram…) at clients’ homes, and can confidently say that, so far, this Thor range competes with them all, while coming at a more affordable price.
The ordering process was easy and even received a call from the owner before shipping to verify the correct address and delivery method. We are in the construction process of a new custom home and the fireplace rough-in needed to occur before drywall. The delivery was drop-shipped to the construction site, and the driver was within the delivery window. There were construction vehicles blocking part of the street, but the driver assisted us getting as close to the storage garage as possible.
The fireplace was packed and palletized well and no damage was observed anywhere. The picture is of the rear portion of the fireplace installed withing the framing. Once the drywall and paint is complete, I will update with the completed fireplace installed and functioning.
I would recommend Dreamwood Living based on this experience and will order from them again.
