Installation Notes

• Below grade: the Rushmore manual allows the vent to go down to 7" below grade with a snorkel, measured from the center of the horizontal pipe where it passes through the wall. Protect it with a window well that has proper drainage.
• Installation: install it the same way as a standard horizontal termination. Do not enclose the snorkel in the wall or any other enclosure.
• Cap location: per the Rushmore manual, the bottom of the cap must be at least 12" above the ground, the top at least 18" below a combustible projection, and the cap at least 9" from a wall running parallel to it. The cap must not be recessed into the wall or siding.
• Vent limits: allowed lengths, elbows and termination clearances differ from one appliance to the next. Follow the venting section of your appliance's manual and the vent systems it approves.
