The Empire Tahoe Clean Face Luxury 42" Direct Vent Gas Fireplace combines timeless design with modern gas efficiency. Its large ceramic glass window and clean-face appearance give the look of a custom-built fireplace while providing the performance and convenience of a direct-vent system. Available in 36-inch and 42-inch models, this luxury fireplace adds warmth and elegance to any home.

Heater-rated for dependable comfort, the Tahoe offers efficient zone heating, helping reduce energy costs by warming the spaces you use most. An optional blower enhances airflow, distributing heat more quickly throughout the room. The millivolt control system ensures reliable operation, even during power outages.

Designed for in-wall installation, the Tahoe requires just over 22 inches of depth and vents from the top, allowing installation through an exterior wall or roof. A barrier screen provides added safety, while the 5 x 8 vent-within-a-vent system efficiently draws fresh outdoor air and expels exhaust through a single opening.

Tahoe Direct-Vent Fireplaces

Tahoe Clean-Face Luxury models require 21-1/2" of framing depth and use 5 x 8 venting.

Designed for in-wall installation, your Tahoe Direct-Vent fireplace can be finished with tile or other non-combustible material, which conceals the outer edge of the fireplace to provide a true built-in appearance.

The available lighting kit draws attention to the intricate details in the log set and brick liner – even when no fire is burning. You can enhance heat distribution with the optional variable-speed blower. Both the light and blower include dimmer controls.

Tahoe Clean Face Luxury

With its large ceramic glass window and clean-face design, this luxury direct-vent fireplace creates the illusion of a site-built fireplace, but offers the convenience and operating efficiency of a modern gas system.  The traditional luxury clean-face fireplace is available in 36-inch and 42-inch models.

Tahoe Clean-Face Luxury fireplaces are heater rated, so they will mesmerize your friends and family as well as warm your room.  Zone heating with a gas fireplace saves energy while warming the rooms you use most. The available blower helps circulate warm air more quickly.

Designed for in-wall installation, our Clean-Face Luxury models require just over 22 inches of depth. The venting connects to the top of the fireplace, but can run out the wall or up through the roof.  Tile or other noncombustible material may be used to conceal the outer edge of the fireplace to create a true built-in system.

Mantel is shown in image, however not included in this product.

A fireplace barrier screen is included to help protect you and your family from inadvertently touching the hot glass.

These direct-vent fireplaces draw in fresh outside air to support combustion and exhaust combustion by-products to the outdoors.  The 5 x 8 vent-within-a-vent isolates the incoming fresh air from the exhaust, yet still requires just a single hole through the wall or roof.

Installation Requirements

• Clearances to combustibles: Back 0", sides 0", floor 0", top standoffs 0", top framing edge 6"; at least 6" from an adjacent (perpendicular) side wall; at least 84" from the bottom of the fireplace to the ceiling
• Mantel clearance: Follow the mantel chart in the installation manual for any combustible mantel above the unit.
• Venting: 5" x 8" direct vent, top vent; up to 40 ft vertical and up to 20 ft horizontal (see the venting graph in the installation manual)
• Gas input (BTU/hr): Natural gas 40,000 max / 27,000 min; propane 36,000 max / 29,000 min
• Power: This millivolt model (FP30) needs no electricity to run the burner; the gas valve is powered by a self-generating thermopile.
• Installation: Must be installed by a qualified installer per the installation manual and local codes.
