Empire 6-5/8" Vertical Inlet Baffle Kit

The Empire VIB6A is the vertical inlet baffle kit for 6-5/8" diameter venting: the high-wind vertical cap on 4" x 6-5/8" DuraVent DirectVent Pro pipe. It helps keep the yellow flame on Empire direct-vent fireplaces with tall, fully vertical vent runs.

Installation Notes

• How it works: on a tall vertical run the draft can shrink the yellow flame at the back of the burner. The baffle fits over the air inlet openings of the vertical cap: covering three sections of openings gives the most yellow flame, one section the least (Tahoe Deluxe manual).
• When to use it: only on a completely vertical vent run, with a vertical rise between 10 ft and 40 ft (Tahoe Deluxe manual).
• Mounting: attach it to the cap with the two 3/8" hex-head screws supplied.
• 7" flex: for the 4" x 7" DVVK4FV flex kit, use the VIB7A instead.
