    Installation Requirements

    • Fits: Listed as an optional accessory ("TMV Millivolt Wall Thermostat - Reed Switch") for Empire cast iron stoves: DVP20CC and DVP30CC direct-vent (manual 35248-17-1020 p.7) and VFD10CC, VFD20CC and VFD30CC vent-free (manual 31208-17-0120 p.6).
    • UltraSaver 90 Plus (PVS18, PVS35): The PVS manuals allow an external millivolt thermostat but do not name the TMV. With a millivolt thermostat or on/off switch the wall furnace runs on high (Level 5) only.
    • Wiring: Millivolt thermostat. Use wire of the right gauge for the run length: 18 gauge for 1' to 10', 16 gauge for 10' to 25', 14 gauge for 25' to 35' (stove manuals).
