Installation Notes

  • Installer: the fireplace manual says installing and replacing gas equipment and accessories, and servicing them, must be done only by a qualified agency. In Massachusetts, gas work must be done by a licensed plumber or gas fitter.
  • Choosing the kit: pick the kit for your fireplace's size, control type (millivolt, intermittent pilot or multi-function) and the direction of the conversion.
  • Details: we don't have Empire's instructions for these kits on file, so ask us if you have questions before ordering.

Warranty

Empire's warranty in the fireplace's installation manual covers remote controls, thermostats, accessories and replacement parts for 1 year (parts), for the original purchaser. Full terms are in the warranty section of your fireplace's manual, for example the installation manual.
