The TrueFlame 30" griddle is a built-in, slide-in gas griddle with two 18,000 BTU burners under a 495 sq. in., 1/2" thick stainless steel cooking surface. Choose TFG30 for natural gas or TFG30L for liquid propane; a conversion kit comes in the box.

What to Order With It

Required:

• TrueFlame Grill Liner for 30" Griddle Grill (Built-In model) (GL-TFGRID30): Insulating liner required if the griddle goes into a combustible enclosure (wood, plastic or similar framing). Not needed in a masonry or other non-combustible island.

Installation

• Install in masonry or another fireproof surround. The griddle is not insulated; for a combustible enclosure, use the GL-TFGRID30 insulating liner.
• Keep a minimum of 18" from the sides and back of the griddle to adjacent vertical combustible construction.
• Non-combustible construction: a minimum 1" from the back above the cooking surface is required; 1" at the sides above the cooking surface is recommended.
• The side lip needs 1" of countertop on each side and at the back to support the unit.
• Keep the 1" front air inlet along the bottom of the control panel clear. The control panel must stay removable after installation.
• The griddle must be level in all directions.
• Do not install under unprotected overhead combustible construction. Under any overhead construction, use an exhaust hood over the cooking surface; under a patio roof, an exhaust fan rated up to 1,000 CFM may be necessary. Fully enclosed patio installation is not allowed.
• Outdoor use only; not in a building, garage or other enclosed area.
• Electrical: the LED lighting runs through the included transformer; use a grounded outlet per local codes or NEC ANSI/NFPA 70.
• It is recommended to build the griddle at least 6"-12" lower than the countertop.
• Gas pressure: natural gas 4" w.c. minimum to 7" w.c. maximum; liquid propane 11" w.c. minimum to 14" w.c. maximum.
• Use the regulator supplied with the griddle; it is required for the warranty. Never connect an unregulated gas supply.
• Liquid propane models are designed for a standard 20 lb. LP tank with a Type 1 valve and OPD (tank not included), up to approximately 12" diameter x 18 1/2" high.
• The conversion kit is included; converting gas type may require additional parts not included.
• Gas hookup by a qualified technician, with an accessible shutoff valve, to local codes or the National Fuel Gas Code (ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54).
• To run one gas line to both a side burner and the griddle, use a 'T' adapter fitting (not provided).

Please Note

• Confirm the cutout against the TFG30 line drawing or with us before cutting. The line drawing recommends adding 1/4" to the inner dimension.
• If you use the GL-TFGRID30 liner, cut the island to the liner cutout (30 1/2" W x 23 1/4" D x 11 1/2" H), not the griddle cutout.
• The manufacturer's documents give 11" w.c. as the minimum liquid propane pressure in one place and a factory LP regulator setting of 10" w.c. in another; confirm with us before connecting.

Warranty

TrueFlame (AMD Direct) Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty on construction, stainless steel construction, burners, valves and heat zone separators, with all replacement parts 100% non-prorated; 3 year warranty on other parts and electrical, including LED bulbs, wire harness, switches, power source wire and transformer. Register online within 30 days of purchase; the warranty covers replacement parts only (no labor) and is void on transfer of ownership.
