Minimum fireplace size and BTU rating are set by the burner and are listed on each burner page.
Vent-free burners are heaters and have room-size limits: the manual requires at least 50 cubic feet of room volume per 1,000 BTU. Burners over 10,000 BTU cannot go in a bedroom and burners over 6,000 BTU cannot go in a bathroom. Some states and cities restrict or prohibit vent-free gas appliances, so check your local code before ordering. Glass doors must be fully open while the burner is on.

Peterson Co., applies to the original purchaser for single-family residential use, runs from the purchase date and needs proof of purchase.
