Grand Canyon Battery Powered Electronic Ignition System
The Grand Canyon Battery Powered Electronic Ignition System lights the burner without a standing pilot. When you switch the fire on, the pilot lights on demand, proves the flame and opens the burner; when you switch it off, the pilot goes out too. It runs on two D-cell batteries, so it needs no household power, and it sits in the firebox beside the burner. It is for indoor use only.
Order MVKEIKN for natural gas or MVKEIKLP for propane. The GCRK on/off remote is included.

This system needs a wider firebox than the other controls, because the valve and battery box sit beside the burner. Check the minimum fireplace dimensions on the burner page. The propane capacity above is the 2026 price guide's; the April 2022 manual prints 180,000 BTU.
Warranty
Valves and electrical components: two years from the purchase date when installed indoors by a certified gas installer and used with Grand Canyon burners and logs; one year if installed outdoors. Batteries are not covered. Warranty is limited to the original purchaser.
