Grand Canyon Red Oak Vent-Free Gas Logs are red oak logs cast from real wood, made for the Grand Canyon Vulcan vent-free burner. Each log is cast from high-temperature concrete with ceramic refractory and stainless steel fiber, then painted by hand. The ceramic refractory helps the set radiate heat into the room.
The set comes in three sizes: VFRO18 (7 logs), VFRO24 (10 logs) and VFRO30 (10 logs). This listing is the logs only. They work only on the Vulcan vent-free burner, which is ordered separately, and they must be stacked exactly as the placement guide shows.
The logs need the 18" Vulcan burner (VFVUL18) for the 18" logs, or the 24"/30" burner (VFVUL24/30) for the 24" and 30" logs. The burner comes with its valve, ODS pilot, lava rock, embers, damper clamp and remote, in natural gas or propane.

Some states and cities do not allow vent-free gas appliances, or allow them only when run vented. Check your local code before you order. A vent-free set is supplemental heat and an attended appliance: do not leave it burning unattended or while anyone is asleep, keep glass doors fully open, and never burn wood in the same fireplace.
These are the smallest fireboxes each log size will fit, from the 2026 price guide.
| Log Size | Front Width | Back Width | Depth | Height |
| 18" | 22" | 20" | 13" | 18" |
| 24" | 28" | 20" | 14" | 18" |
| 30" | 34" | 20" | 14" | 18" |
The burner manual lays this table out differently from the price guide. If your firebox is close to these figures, call us before ordering.
