Empire Stove Door Overlay Options for Gateway Series Wood Burning Stove

The Empire Stove door overlays (model numbers WD1BL, WD1NB, WD2BL, WD2NB, WD3BL and WD3NB) are the decorative overlay that finishes the cast iron door of the Gateway stoves and Archway inserts. One overlay is required with each stove or insert.

Choose the overlay number that matches your model: WD1 for the Gateway 1700 and Archway 1700, WD2 for the Gateway 2300 and Archway 2300, and WD3 for the Gateway 3500, each in black (BL) or brushed nickel (NB).

Installation Notes

  • Installation: the overlay sets on the door frame and is screwed on from behind; the manuals note the glass does not need to come out.
  • Part numbers: the 2026 Gateway 2300 and Archway 2300 manuals list this part under Empire Stove "SFA" part numbers rather than the codes used here; ask us if you need to match a part number.

Warranty

From the warranty table in the stove's installation manual: paint, gaskets, insulation, ceramic fiber blankets, firebricks and other options are covered for 1 year (parts). The warranty is for the original retail purchaser; proof of purchase, the model name and the serial number are needed for a claim. Full terms are in the warranty section of the installation manual.
