The Empire LK2 (model number LK2) is the 120 V accent light kit for Empire's 36" peninsula and see-through vent-free models: the Breckenridge Premium 36 peninsula and see-through fireboxes and the Vail 36 peninsula and see-through fireplaces. It mounts in the top of the firebox and comes with a dimmer control.

Installation Notes

• Wiring: the junction box must be pre-wired with separate circuits (a split or dual receptacle) so the light and the blower can run independently; all wiring by a qualified electrician to local codes and NFPA 70, with the power disconnected first.
• Timing: the kit can be installed at any time on louvered models, or on flush-panel models before the upper panels are covered with finishing materials.
• Mounting: the light secures to the inside top of the firebox with two screws, and the dimmer control sits in the lower compartment near the junction box.
• Flush fronts: if the bottom panels will be covered with finishing materials, the dimmer cannot be reached afterwards; the kit sheet recommends setting it to the brightest setting and installing an SCV-1 variable control wall switch on the same circuit.
