Empire 3-Sided Steel Surrounds for Small Innsbrook Direct Vent Insert
The Empire steel surrounds for the small Innsbrook direct-vent insert (model numbers DS2063BL, DS2066BL, DS2096BL, DS2063DBL, DS2066DBL and DS2096DBL in matte black, and DS2063BZ, DS2066BZ, DS2096BZ, DS2063DBZ, DS2066DBZ and DS2096DBZ in bronze) are one-piece, three-sided surrounds that cover the gap between the DVC20IN insert and the fireplace opening.
The small insert needs a surround: either the cast iron surround or one of these steel surrounds. Unlike the cast iron surround, a steel surround takes a decorative front and a bottom cover. Each size comes 1" deep or 2 1/4" deep.

Installation Notes

Sizing: choose a surround that covers your fireplace opening. For a larger opening, use the SH1BL shroud together with a surround.

Deep surround: the manual says the 2 1/4" deep surround lets the small insert go into a 13 5/8" deep fireplace. The deep option is only for the small insert.

Bottom cover: use the matching bottom cover when the surround does not reach the floor (C203 for the DS2063, C206 for the DS2066 and DS2096, in the same finish and depth).

Installation: the surround fastens to the insert's flanges with screws, as the installation manual describes. Nothing combustible may go behind the surround or the insert.
