The American Made Grills Insulated Jacket for 36"/42"/54" Encore/Muscle Grills (model numbers GL-HYB36, GL-HYB42, GL-HYB54) is the insulated liner AMG requires when you install a built-in Muscle, Encore or Ovation Hybrid grill in an outdoor kitchen island built with wood or any other combustible material.
It sits between the appliance and the island, keeps heat away from the framing, and gives the appliance a stainless steel ledge to rest on.
Why Your Island Needs an Insulated Liner
Many outdoor kitchens are framed with wood and finished with stone or stucco, and that framing sits just inches from a burner. AMG's installation instructions require its insulated liner whenever the island is combustible. Skipping it creates a fire risk, and damage from an improper installation is not covered by the warranty.
The jacket is built from double-lined #304 stainless steel with a stainless mounting bracket and a self-supporting ledge around the sides and back. Sizes match the 36", 42" and 54" built-in Hybrid grills: Muscle and Ovation in all three sizes, Encore in 36" and 54". It also protects the appliance's own body from corrosion over time. You need it whenever the island has any combustible framing or materials. A fully non-combustible island, such as block or steel studs with cement board, may not, so check the appliance manual and your local code.
How do I size the island opening?
The liner measures 37-3/8" W (36"), 43-1/4" W (42") or 55-1/2" W (54") x 26-1/4" D x 16-1/8" H. Frame the opening from the AMG 2026 cutout sheet and confirm the final size with our team before you build.
Is the liner covered by the warranty?
Yes. AMG covers the stainless steel construction, workmanship and materials of grill liners for life under the Gold Standard Warranty.

Register online with American Made Grills within 30 days of purchase. The warranty covers replacement parts only (no labor), is for the original purchaser at the original delivery address, and does not cover discoloration, surface rust or damage from grease fires or misuse.
