American Made Grills Ovation Series 36" Built-In Hybrid Grill
The American Made Grills Ovation 36" Built-In Hybrid Grill (model number OVA36) cooks on gas, charcoal and wood in the same firebox. Five 22,000 BTU stainless steel burners give you a fast, controllable gas grill on a weeknight, and they also light the charcoal or wood chunks you load into the fuel trays when you want real smoke and live-fire flavor.
The Ovation is the newest grill in AMG's Hybrid Series. It carries the cleaner front of the Estate Series on the deeper body and stance of the Hybrid grills. The grill is built from #304 stainless steel and factory tested in the USA, and it ships with a rotisserie kit, an infrared sear burner and a griddle plate, so it is ready for almost anything you want to cook.
The Ovation 36": Gas Convenience and Charcoal Flavor in One Grill
The heart of every Hybrid grill is AMG's patented Multi-Fuel Tray System. The 36" model has six 14-gauge #304 stainless trays. Fill them with charcoal, wood chunks or chips, light the gas burners to get the fire going, and then cook over the coals, over gas, or a mix of both. Grate lifting tools let you add fuel in the middle of a cook without pulling the grates out by hand.
With 110,000 BTUs on natural gas and 1,106 square inches of total cooking surface, there is room for a full spread. Reversible 9-gauge V-shaped grates give you heavy sear marks on one side and a gentler surface for fish and vegetables on the other, heat zone separators let you run hot and cool zones side by side, and adjustable hood vents help you hold a steady temperature for longer cooks.

If your island is framed with wood or any other combustible material, AMG requires its insulated grill liner, and the grill needs at least 18 inches of clearance to combustible walls at the sides and back. Plan for a gas line with the supplied regulator and a 120 V GFCI outlet for the lights and the rotisserie motor.

FAQs
Can I cook with gas and charcoal at the same time?
Yes. Load charcoal or wood chunks into the fuel trays up to the fill line, light them with the gas burners, and then cook over the solid fuel, over gas, or both at once. The grate lifting tools let you add more fuel during a long cook.
Can I switch between natural gas and propane later?
Choose natural gas (OVA36-NG) or propane (OVA36-LP) when you order. Converting later takes a gas conversion kit from AMG and should be done by a licensed gas installer.
What do I need to build it into an island?
A 35" W x 25" D x 15" H cutout, the GL-HYB36 grill liner if the island has any combustible framing, 18" of clearance to combustible walls at the sides and back, a gas line with the supplied regulator, and a 120 V GFCI outlet.
What is the difference between the Muscle, Encore and Ovation?
Performance is identical at each size: same burners, BTUs, fuel trays and cooking area. The Muscle has muscle-car inspired styling, the Encore a sleeker modern front, and the Ovation the cleaner front of the Estate Series.

Covered by the American Made Grills Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty: lifetime coverage on construction and manufacturer defects, the stainless steel construction, cooking grates, burners, burner covers, valves, flame tamers, heat zone separators, temperature gauges, hood springs and briquette systems. Other parts and electrical components, such as LED bulbs, wiring, switches, the transformer and halogen lights, carry 3 years.
Register online with American Made Grills within 30 days of purchase. The warranty covers replacement parts only (no labor), is for the original purchaser at the original delivery address, and does not cover discoloration, surface rust or damage from grease fires or misuse.
