A mobile home installation must use a listed double-wall connector and outside combustion air, and the chimney must rise at least 12 ft above the top of the stove.
The stove can sit on a combustible floor when it stands on non-combustible ember protection (UL 1618 Type 1, the equivalent of 20 gauge steel or tile). The protection must reach 16 in. in front of the firebox and 8 in. past each side of the loading door opening. Minimum size: 28 3/4 in. wide x 41 in. deep. It is also needed under a horizontal chimney connector and 2 in. beyond each side of it.
Install to the manual and your local codes. True North recommends an NFI-certified installer. Ask your local building or fire officials about permits and inspection before you install.
This stove has a catalytic combustor. It is against federal regulations to operate it with the catalyst removed or deactivated.
