The Evonic E-Lectra 40 is a linear built-in electric fireplace from Ortal, made in Britain. An LED flame effect plays across a Woodland Split ceramic log set behind a glass front, with 11 flame styles and colors to choose from. It ships as a single-sided unit and converts to a corner (two-sided) or three-sided fireplace by removing the side conversion panels. It plugs into a standard 120V outlet, and the 1200W heater runs separately from the flame, so you can enjoy the fire with the heat on or off.

Install it into a stud and drywall frame or an existing chimney breast, flush or recessed. It is not made for floating or wall-hung installs. Leave the 2" internal air gap below the unit described in the manual, and keep a TV or artwork at least 8" above the top of the glass. Indoor use only, and not in bathrooms or other wet areas.

Warranty
Ortal lists a 5-year limited warranty on the E-Lectra range: the first year covers parts and labor, and years two through five cover parts supplied by Ortal. Consumable items such as glass, LEDs, LED boards, filters and power supplies are covered for the first 12 months. Coverage starts on the date of purchase and needs proof of purchase from an authorized Ortal dealer. Read the full terms in the warranty section of the E-Lectra installation and user manual (V12).
