Empire Tahoe Clean-Face Luxury 42" Direct Vent Gas Fireplace, Multi-Function Control
The Empire Tahoe Clean-Face Luxury 42" with multi-function remote control (model numbers DVCX42FP91N for natural gas and DVCX42FP91P for propane) is a zero-clearance direct-vent gas fireplace with a large ceramic glass window and a clean-face design built for in-wall installation. Tile or other non-combustible material can conceal the outer edge for a built-in look.
It comes with a multi-function thermostat remote that controls the flame, the light and the blower, and the blower and light are built in. The log set and barrier screen are included.

Installation Requirements

Clearances to combustibles: back standoffs 0", side standoffs 0", floor 0", top standoffs 0".

Ceiling: at least 84" from the bottom of the fireplace to the ceiling.

Side wall: at least 6" from the side of the fireplace to an adjacent side wall.

Mantel: follow the mantel chart in the installation manual for any combustible mantel above the unit.

Framing: frame with a 2 x 4 header across the top; see the manual for finishing the face with non-combustible material.

Venting: 5" x 8" direct vent from the top. The longest horizontal run is 20 ft, with at least 8 ft of vertical rise; island and room-divider installs follow the same limit. Keep 1" beside and below horizontal pipe and 3" above it, using the SD58DVAWTEC wall thimble. Check the vent graph in the manual for your layout.

Power: run a 120V supply to the fireplace for the blower and light.

Installation: must be installed by a qualified installer per the installation manual and local codes.

Empire limited parts warranty for Tahoe Clean-Face Luxury fireplaces, from the warranty section of the installation manual:
- Combustion chamber, heat exchanger and factory-installed glass: limited lifetime
- All other components, except remote controls, thermostats, accessories and replacement parts: 3 years
- Remote controls, thermostats, accessories and parts: 1 year
