Installation Notes

• Hearth strips: protective metal hearth strips go 2 inches under the front of the fireplace and extend 2 inches beyond the front and sides of the opening.
• Raised hearth: for a raised hearth, the non-combustible framing is placed on WB60HE or equivalent; the manual requires non-combustible flooring at least 20 inches in front and 12 inches to each side of the fuel opening.
• Installation: build the hearth extension exactly as the Aspen manual shows.

Warranty

The wood firebox warranty in the installation manual covers accessories and parts, including handles, glass and cast refractory panels, for 1 year (parts) against defects in workmanship, for the original purchaser. Full terms are in the warranty section of the installation manual.
