The Empire roof flashing for 2/12 to 5/12 pitch roofs (model number WB14VF05) is part of Empire's 14 inch chimney system for the Blackburn 54 wood firebox built with the 14 inch chimney (model WB54FB0F). Empire's price list marks the 14 inch parts as the venting for the Blackburn 54 before its summer 2026 change; the current Blackburn 54 (WB5412FB0F) uses the 12 inch parts.

Installation Notes

• Installation: slip the flashing over the chimney, nail it to the roof and caulk the flashing-to-roof joint, the vertical seam and all nail heads with roofing sealant. Shingles go under the flashing plate on the lower side of the roof and over it on the upper side.
• Above the roof: caulk the overlap seams of any pipe above the roof line, and add a storm collar above the flashing.
• Clearance: keep a 2 inch air space between the chimney and insulation or other combustible materials along its whole run.

Empire's wood firebox manuals give venting parts a limited 10-year parts warranty against defects in workmanship or material, for the original purchaser. Travel, diagnostic, freight, removal and reinstallation costs are not covered. Full terms are in the warranty section of the installation manual.
