Empire 14" Diameter Round Chimney Cap

The Empire round chimney cap (model number WB14VRCC) is part of Empire's 14 inch chimney system for the Blackburn 54 wood firebox built with the 14 inch chimney (model WB54FB0F). Empire's price list marks the 14 inch parts as the venting for the Blackburn 54 before its summer 2026 change; the current Blackburn 54 (WB5412FB0F) uses the 12 inch parts.

Specifications

Installation Notes

• Termination height: the bottom of the cap must be at least 3 ft above the roof and at least 2 ft above any part of the roof within 10 ft, away from trees and other structures and where snow cannot block it.
• Overlap: the cap and the top chimney section must be pushed together to keep a 1 1/2 inch overlap so the cap cannot separate.
• Shrouds: under a decorative shroud, the manual lists minimum shroud sizes for this cap and requires an Empire cap inside the shroud.
• Finish: Empire recommends painting termination caps with a rust-resistant paint where they are exposed to the weather.

Empire's wood firebox manuals give venting parts a limited 10-year parts warranty against defects in workmanship or material, for the original purchaser. Travel, diagnostic, freight, removal and reinstallation costs are not covered. Full terms are in the warranty section of the installation manual.
