HUUM HIVE Flow Wood Burning Sauna Stove 9.8kW
The HUUM HIVE Flow is one of the most efficient and environmentally sustainable wood-burning sauna stoves for sauna rooms from 282 to 635 cu. ft. Its furnace design puts about 75% of the heat from the firewood into the sauna instead of sending it up the chimney, and the 330 lb stone mass gives a mild, long-lasting steam. It is offered in two models: HIVE Flow (order no. H1015012) and HIVE Flow LS (order no. H1016012), which has a firebox extension that passes through the wall so the stove is fed from outside the sauna room.

The non-combustible wall can be up to 6 in (150 mm) thick with a HUUM mounting collar and up to 4 in (100 mm) without one.

First burn outdoors: Before installation the stove must be heated outdoors at least once; the protective paint cures and gives off fumes during the first heating.

Floor: Install on a non-combustible floor with enough load-bearing capacity; a concrete floor at least 2 in (50 mm) thick is suitable. On a combustible floor, or over floor heating, HUUM protective bedding or another non-combustible base is mandatory, with a ventilation gap of at least 1.2 in (30 mm) under it.

Floor in front of the door: Protect combustible flooring with a sheet metal plate that extends at least 4 in (100 mm) beyond each side of the door opening and at least 15.75 in (400 mm) in front of the stove.

Non-combustible walls: Leave at least 2 in (50 mm) between the stove and a non-combustible wall.

Protective screens: A single non-combustible screen reduces the side and rear safety distances by 50%, a double screen by up to 75%; a single screen reduces the ceiling distance by 25%. Check local codes before reducing any distance.

Chimney connection: The connection to the flue must be made by a certified installer, using flue pipes approved by local fire and safety regulations.

Sauna room height: Minimum 75 in (1900 mm).

Uninsulated walls: For any uninsulated brick, tile or glass wall, add 3.3 cu. ft. to the room volume for each 1 sq. ft. of that wall before choosing a size.

Codes: Installation must follow local codes for wood-burning appliances.

Warranty
3-Year Limited Residential Warranty, 1-Year Limited Commercial Warranty: HUUM covers the HIVE Flow with a 3-year limited warranty in residential use and a 1-year limited warranty in commercial use. Door glass and sauna stones are not covered. The warranty applies only when the stove is installed and used according to the manual; damage from overheating, or from a stove that is too small or too large for the sauna room, is not covered.
