Empire Fuel Conversion Kits for Direct-Vent Loft Fireplaces
The Empire Loft conversion kits (model numbers 42048 to 42055) convert the Loft 36" and 46" linear direct-vent fireplaces between natural gas and propane. There is a kit for each size, each control type (millivolt or intermittent pilot) and each direction.

Installation Notes

Certified kit: the fireplace manuals say the appliance may only be used with the gas on its rating plate and is not convertible to another gas unless a certified kit is used.

Installer: installation and service must be done by a qualified installer, service agency or the gas supplier. In Massachusetts, gas work must be done by a licensed plumber or gas fitter.

Ordering: match the kit to the fireplace size, the control type (millivolt or intermittent pilot) and the direction of the conversion. The model and serial number are on the rating plate.
