Installation Notes
-
Medium propane: the DVP30 on propane needs a 24" rise before the first elbow, so the DVKVP45 is approved there only with the 36" snorkel.
-
Vent limits: minimum vertical rise before any elbow is 12" (DVP20 and DVP30 natural gas) or 24" (DVP30 propane); sidewall venting allows up to 25 ft vertical and 12 ft horizontal (see the venting graph in the manual); at most two 90° elbows (subtract 5 ft of horizontal run for the second) and two 45° elbows, each 45° in the horizontal run taking 18" off the allowed run.
-
Termination: the wall hole is 10" high x 9" wide for 4" x 6 5/8" pipe; the bottom of the cap must be at least 12" above ground, the top at least 18" below a combustible projection, and the cap at least 9" from a parallel wall. Keep combustibles (including siding) 3" from the top of the pipe and 1" from the sides and bottom.
