Empire 18" Tree House 7 Vented Gas Log Set
The Empire 18" Tree House 7 log set (model number LTH718) is a 7-piece refractory gas log set for a vented, wood-burning fireplace. It goes on an Empire 18" vented sand pan burner (VSP single, VDP double or OVDP stainless double), which is ordered separately.
The two base logs go in fixed positions; once they are placed, you can arrange the remaining logs to suit your taste and rearrange them later.

This listing is the log set only. The sand pan burners come with the vermiculite, rockwool embers and lava rock.

Installation Requirements

Where it can go: only in a solid-fuel-burning fireplace with a working flue built of non-combustible material, on a vented Empire burner. Do not burn wood or other solid fuel in the fireplace once a gas log set is installed.

Damper: a damper clamp must hold the chimney damper open so it cannot close while the logs burn (the sand pan burners include one). Massachusetts requires the damper to be welded open or removed.

Chimney: have the chimney and firebox cleaned of soot and creosote before installing the logs.

Glass doors and screen: keep glass doors open while the fire burns and keep a fireplace screen in place.

Installation: must be installed by a qualified installer per the burner and log set manuals and local codes. In Massachusetts the installation must be done by a licensed plumber or gas fitter.
