The DuraVent DuraTech LDC 16" Firestop Radiation Shield HT is a critical chimney safety and fire protection component designed for the DuraTech LDC all-fuel double-wall chimney system. Ideal for factory-built fireplaces, large masonry fireplaces, and other vented non-condensing appliances, this firestop radiation shield is used in ceiling and floor penetrations to help maintain safe clearances and prevent heat transfer. It ensures enhanced chimney system safety, structural protection, and code-compliant installation in residential and commercial applications.
As part of the UL 103 Type HT listed chimney system, it supports 10" to 16" diameters and features a solid-pack design with 1" ceramic insulation between a stainless steel inner wall and stainless or Galvalume outer jacket. It maintains a 2-inch clearance to combustibles and is tested to US and Canadian standards, delivering dependable high-temperature performance, fire resistance, and long-term durability.
