Dimplex sets a specific rule for the shelter: the \u003cstrong\u003eheight above the fireplace must be no more than three times the depth the shelter projects\u003c\/strong\u003e, measured from the bottom of the fireplace to the bottom edge of the overhang, and from the exposed face of the fireplace to the parallel edge of the overhang. So an overhang 9 ft above the fireplace has to extend at least 3 ft outwards on every side. A ground-fault protected circuit is recommended, and outdoor units should be inspected seasonally rather than yearly.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWarranty differs by location: \u003cstrong\u003e5 years indoor, 1 year outdoor\u003c\/strong\u003e.
