Wildfire Outdoor Living

Wildfire Outdoor Living builds a short, deliberate range: the Ranch Pro grills, griddles and burners, the Ember 32" grill, and the carts, covers, storage and refrigeration that go around them. Everything is 304 stainless steel, and almost every model also comes in black 304 stainless, so the finish can match across the whole island.

Ranch Pro covers built-in gas grills at 30", 36" and 42", built-in gas griddles at 30" and 42", a 15" side griddle, a double side burner and a 60,000 BTU power burner. Every one is made for natural gas or liquid propane, chosen when you order.

How the lines differ, the cut-out sizes, and the questions we get asked most are below the product grid.

Ranch Pro or Ember?

Ranch Pro is the main line. It is the only one made in more than one width, and the only one with matching built-in griddles and side burners, so it is what you specify when the grill sits in a run with other Wildfire pieces. The grills have two, three or four cast stainless steel burners and an infrared rear burner for a rotisserie: 42,000 BTU at 30", 58,000 BTU at 36" and 74,000 BTU at 42".

Ember is a single 32" grill rated at 52,000 BTU. It has three cast stainless steel burners plus an infrared sear burner as standard, with ceramic briquette trays over the burners to even out the heat. If searing is what you care about and a 32" grill suits the opening, it is the simpler choice.

Grill, griddle, or both?

A grill cooks over open grates. A griddle cooks on a solid steel plate, which is what you want for eggs, smash burgers, onions, fish and anything that would fall through grates.

Wildfire treats the griddle as a product in its own right. The Ranch Pro 30" griddle has two burners and 526 sq. in. of cooking surface, the 42" has three burners, 691 sq. in. and a hood that lifts off, and the 15" side griddle drops in beside a grill. A common layout is a Ranch Pro grill with the 15" side griddle next to it. If you only want a flat top now and then, the 12" and 20" drop-in griddles sit on the grates of a Ranch Pro grill.

Cut-out sizes

Work from the cut-out, not the model name. These are the openings Wildfire gives for a built-in installation, as width x depth x height:

  • Ranch Pro 30" grill: 29" x 21-1/2" x 10-1/2"
  • Ranch Pro 36" grill: 35" x 21-1/2" x 10-1/2"
  • Ranch Pro 42" grill: 41" x 21-1/2" x 10-1/2"
  • Ember 32" grill: 30-1/2" x 19-3/4" x 9-1/2"
  • Ranch Pro 30" griddle: 29" x 21-7/8" x 10-1/2"
  • Ranch Pro 42" griddle: 41" x 21-5/8" x 10-1/2"
  • 15" side griddle and double side burner: 13-1/4" x 20" x 9-3/4"
  • Power burner: 22-1/4" x 21-1/2" x 10-1/4"

Wildfire notes that appliance bodies can vary by 1/8", so measure the unit you receive before the island is cut.

Wildfire questions

What sizes do Wildfire built-in grills come in?

Ranch Pro built-in gas grills are made in 30", 36" and 42" widths, and the Ember gas grill is 32". Built-in gas griddles are 30" and 42", with a 15" side griddle for mounting beside a grill. The cut-out is always narrower than the overall unit, so use the cut-out sizes above when you plan the island.

What is the difference between 304 stainless and black 304 stainless?

Both are 304 stainless steel, so you are choosing on appearance. Black stainless costs a little more on the models that offer both. Most of the range comes in both finishes, including the carts, doors and drawers, and the outdoor refrigerators take a black stainless sleeve so they match.

Can I use a Wildfire built-in grill without building it in?

Yes, on a Wildfire cart. A built-in head has no base or wheels, so it needs either an island or a cart. Grill carts are made for the 30", 36" and 42" Ranch Pro grills and a griddle cart for the 30" griddle, and Wildfire lists the 42" cart for the 42" griddle as well. Each cart has locking casters, fold-down side shelves, a slide-out propane tank tray, and a door and two drawers. Order the head and the cart in the same finish.

Can a Wildfire grill go in an island built with wood framing?

Not without planning for it. Wildfire calls for 24" between a Ranch Pro appliance and any combustible material, and 9" for the Ember. Wood framing behind tile, stone or stucco still counts as combustible. Wildfire makes insulated liners for the Ranch Pro grills, griddles and burners, and the Ember liner is required when the island is built with combustible materials. Tell us how the island is built before you order and we will confirm what you need.

Does Wildfire make matching storage and refrigeration?

Yes. There are access doors, drawers and door-and-drawer combos with soft-close hardware, a pull-out trash drawer, ice chests and an electric warming drawer, plus 15" and 24" outdoor refrigerators, a 24" dual drawer refrigerator and a 24" kegerator. Fitted vinyl covers are made for the grills, griddles and carts.

What are Designer Finish knobs and handles?

They are optional hardware in brushed stainless, chrome black or brushed bronze that replaces the standard knobs and handles. Wildfire makes them as knob kits, grill handles, pull handles for doors and drawers, and handles for the refrigerators and warming drawer, so the hardware can match across the island.

What warranty does Wildfire offer?

Ranch Pro gas appliances carry a limited lifetime warranty on the stainless steel housing, cooking grids and burners for the original purchaser in residential use, with five years on valves, manifold and ignition systems and two years on electric and plastic components. Installations in shared common areas carry two years. The full terms are linked from each product page.
