Empire Boulevard 72" Linear Vent-Free Gas Fireplace
Delivering both striking flame presence and consistent heat, the Empire Boulevard 72" Vent-Free Linear Gas Fireplace operates without the need for venting or a chimney system. This vent-free configuration provides added flexibility during installation, fitting naturally into living areas, large entertaining spaces, and open-plan homes where standard vented fireplaces can be limiting.
Dreamwood Living features this unit for designs that prioritize modern style alongside reliable functionality.
Empire Boulevard 72": Where Scale Meets Vent-Free Performance
The linear flame presentation runs the full width of the firebox, producing a wide, low wall of fire that works beautifully in larger spaces where a smaller unit would feel underwhelming. Zero-clearance installation means contractors can work directly with the fireplace opening using tile, stone, or plaster, keeping design possibilities wide open.
Homeowners and designers exploring linear fireplaces will find the Boulevard 72" sits comfortably at the upper end of what this format can achieve in terms of scale and presence.
Key Features
Gas Type. The Empire Boulevard 72" operates on either natural gas or propane, allowing it to integrate easily with existing fuel setups. It includes a remote control and wall-mounted LED interface. This gives you convenient control over flame height, heat output, and lighting without needing to leave your seat.
Ignition. The Intermittent Pilot System eliminates the standing pilot, reducing energy use and operating costs over time. The fireplace can be ignited on demand with a simple command, while the built-in thermostat mode automatically maintains your preferred temperature. A battery backup ensures continued operation during power outages.
Liner Options. Two liner finishes are available to suit different design directions. The black porcelain liner creates a deep, reflective backdrop that enhances flame intensity and visual depth. The stainless steel liner offers a brighter, more contemporary finish that pairs well with modern interiors.
Surround. Tile, stone, or plaster can be applied directly to the fireplace opening for a fully custom surround. Alternatively, a decorative 1½-inch beveled front in matte black or a ¾-inch beveled black frame provides a polished, low-profile finish.
Decorative media.
Six square feet of crushed decorative glass is required for this model. Additional options include decorative glass media in various finishes, accent pebbles, and log sets to personalize the look further.
Accent Light.
A multicolor programmable LED light is positioned beneath the burner, adding depth and color to both the liner and decorative media. The included extension kit allows lighting controls to be mounted up to six feet from the unit.
Optional Forced Air Heat Management Kit. The optional HMFA forced-air heat management system allows excess heat to be vented outside the home. This feature is particularly useful in climates where seasonal temperature control is important or where reduced indoor heat output is preferred.
The Empire Boulevard 72" is one of the most commanding options in our fireplace collection. The level of customization available means no two installations need to look alike.
Dreamwood Living works closely with homeowners, contractors, architects, and designers who value products that elevate both design and performance.

FAQs
Is the Empire Boulevard 72" suitable for large open-plan living spaces?
The Empire Boulevard 72" is well suited to large open-plan spaces. Its 72-inch width and output of up to 40,000 BTU provide strong heating performance, while the linear flame design enhances visual scale in expansive layouts.
Can I use the Boulevard 72" without the decorative media installed?
No. A minimum of six square feet of crushed decorative glass is required for this model to operate correctly. Additional media such as log sets and accent pebbles are optional and purely aesthetic.
What happens if I want to change the liner or surround after installation?
Liner and surround choices are made at the time of purchase or installation. Changes after the fact may require professional involvement depending on how the surround was finished. Consulting an installer before finalizing your selections is advisable.
