Empire Stove Barrier Screen in Black for Wood Burning Stoves Inserts and Fireplaces

Empire Stove Barrier Screen in Black for Wood Burning Stoves Inserts and Fireplaces

The Empire Stove fire screens (model numbers WBS1BL, WBS2BL and WBS3BL) fit in the door opening of the Gateway stoves and Archway inserts so the fire can be watched with the door open, where open-door burning is allowed.

Empire's Gateway 1700, 2300 and 3500 and Archway 2300 manuals state that in the United States, and in Canadian provinces with a particulate emission limit (such as US EPA rules), using the stove with the door open and a rigid fire screen is prohibited. The 2026 Archway 1700 manual says that insert was tested for open-door use with the screen and does not repeat the prohibition; ask us before planning on open-door use.
