Empire LK10 120V Lighting Kit Accessory

The Empire LK10 (model number LK10) is the 120 V accent light kit for the Loft 36" and 46" linear direct-vent fireplaces. The Loft fireplaces do not come with accent lights; the kit adds two lights in the firebox floor with a rheostat to set the brightness.

Installation Notes

  • When to install: the Loft manual says the kit can be bought and installed before the fireplace is installed.
  • Installation: remove the barrier screen, glass frame, valve access cover and burner surround, then the cover plates in the firebox floor. Fit the two light assemblies (left wires to the left, right wires to the right), plug the power cord into the junction box, connect the wire assembly to the cord, the rheostat and the lights, and mount the rheostat bracket at the front right corner of the bottom surround.
  • Order of installation: the light kit goes in first, before the porcelain liner, logs and stones, crushed glass and trim.
  • Bulbs: turn off all power to the fireplace before changing bulbs or servicing the controls.
