Installation Notes

• Installer: the fireplace manual says installing and replacing gas equipment and accessories, and servicing them, must be done only by a qualified agency. In Massachusetts, gas work must be done by a licensed plumber or gas fitter.
• Choosing the kit: pick the kit for your fireplace's model, control type and the direction of the conversion.
• 23701 and 23698: the 23701 and 23698 options on this page are not in Empire's current price lists or the Tahoe Luxury manual, which list 35447 and 35446 for the multi-function Luxury 42 (sold on the Tahoe Luxury multi-function kit page). Ask us before ordering one of them.
• Details: we don't have Empire's instructions for these kits on file, so ask us if you have questions before ordering.
