The DuraVent DuraTech 5" Firestop is an essential chimney firestop component designed to maintain safe clearances where a DuraTech chimney pipe passes through ceilings or floor penetrations. Built for use with the DuraVent DuraTech chimney system, it complements the chimney's advanced dual-wall construction with refractory insulation, helping keep the outer wall cooler while maintaining high flue gas temperatures for superior draft performance. This firestop radiation shield enhances chimney fire safety and supports code-compliant installations for wood stoves, fireplaces, and other all-fuel heating appliances.
Engineered to meet the demanding performance of the DuraTech chimney system, this 5-inch firestop supports continuous operation at flue gas temperatures up to 1000°F. The DuraTech system is tested to rigorous UL 103HT standards, including one hour at 1400°F and three 2100°F chimney fire tests, providing dependable safety, durability, and long-lasting performance in residential chimney installations.

DuraVent, Inc. (“DuraVent”) provides this limited lifetime warranty for all of its products with the exception of Ventinox® (lifetime), and PolyPro® (ten years). Subject to the limitations set forth below, DuraVent warrants that its products will be free from defects in material or manufacturing, if properly installed, maintained and used. DuraVent products are fully warranted if installed only by a professional installer. This Warranty is transferable from the original homeowner to the buyer of the home. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, smoke damage or damage caused by chimney fires, acts of God, or any product that was: (1) purchased other than from an authorized DuraVent dealer, retailer or distributor; (2) modified or altered; (3) improperly serviced, inspected or cleaned; or (4) subject to negligence or any use not in accordance with the installation instructions included with the product as determined by DuraVent.
