American Outdoor Grills
American Outdoor Grill (AOG) is made by the R.H. Peterson Co. in City of Industry, California. The 2026 line has two series of gas grills, the L-Series and the T-Series, each in 24", 30" and 36" widths. The same grill can be built into an outdoor kitchen, set on a portable cart, or (24" only) mounted on a patio post or an in-ground post, including accessible-height posts for cooking from a seated position.

Both series share 304 stainless steel tubular burners, Diamond Sear 304 stainless cooking grids, Flame Thrower piezo ignition, vaporizer panels, a warming rack and a spring-assisted hood.
- L-Series adds interior halogen lights, a multi-color LED light bar with a remote, and an infrared backburner with the rotisserie kit included. It needs a 120V GFCI outlet. 24" (32,000 BTU + 10,000 BTU backburner), 30" (45,000 + 12,000), 36" (50,000 + 12,000).
- T-Series is fully analog and needs no electricity. A rotisserie kit is available separately for 2026 T-Series grills. 24" (32,000 BTU), 30" (45,000), 36" (50,000).
Primary cooking surfaces are 432 sq in (24"), 540 sq in (30") and 648 sq in (36"). Every grill comes with a gas conversion kit, and 2026 built-in grills include a vinyl cover. Accent color panels in eight colors can be chosen with the grill.
Built-In, Cart or Post
- Built-in: the grill hangs in a countertop cut-out. The countertop must be non-combustible; in an enclosure framed with wood or other combustible material, add the AOG insulating liner (24-IL-C, 30-IL-C, 36-IL-C).
- Portable cart: the grill on the AOG cart base with access doors, fold-down side shelves, a tank collar and locking casters, in all three widths, for example the 30" L-Series cart grill or the 30" T-Series cart grill.
- Patio post or in-ground post (24"): a single post with two side shelves and a 1-hour gas timer. The patio post bolts to a slab; the in-ground post sets 16 1/2" into the ground. Standard posts put the shelves at 37"; accessible-height posts put them at 32" and add a hood side handle.
AOG sells gas hoses separately for cart and post grills: the L.P. hose with regulator (5110-07) or the 10 ft natural gas hose (5110-03).
Side Burners, Storage and Accessories
- L-Series and T-Series double side burners, each with two 12,500 BTU burners
- Island doors and drawers, such as the 20" x 30" double doors, the door with tank tray and louvers and the door with double drawer and platter storage
- The REF-21 refrigerator and the 5521-11T gas timer box
- Built-in grill covers, cart grill covers and the side burner cover
- The GR18A griddle and the TK-1 tool kit
American Outdoor Grill Warranty
For the original purchaser in a single-family home, with professional installation: stainless steel burners and barbecue housings for as long as the original purchaser owns the grill; Diamond Sear cooking grids, 15 years; valves, controls, manifolds and vent hood housings, 10 years; backburners, rotisserie kits, vaporizer panels and GFRC islands, 3 years; ignition, electronics, parts and accessories, 2 years. American Outdoor Grill FAQs
What is the difference between the AOG L-Series and T-Series?
The L-Series has interior halogen lights, a multi-color LED light bar, an infrared backburner and a rotisserie kit, and it needs a 120V GFCI outlet. The T-Series has the same burners, grids and sizes and needs no electricity; a rotisserie kit can be added to 2026 T-Series grills.
Do I need an insulating liner?
Only when the enclosure is framed with combustible material such as wood. The countertop itself must always be non-combustible. In a masonry, block or cement board island the grill goes straight into its cut-out.
Can an AOG grill go on a post?
Yes, the 24" L-Series and T-Series grills come on patio posts that bolt to a slab and in-ground posts that set into the ground. Both have side shelves and a built-in 1-hour gas timer, and both come in a standard 37" and an accessible 32" shelf height.
Can I convert from natural gas to propane?
Yes. Every AOG grill includes a gas conversion kit, and the manual covers the orifice change and air shutter adjustment.
What sizes are available?
24", 30" and 36" for built-in and cart grills in both series. The post grills are 24". Size the island opening from the cut-out on each product page, not the nominal width.
