The DuraVent DuraTech 6" Pass Through Radiation Shield is a premium chimney safety component designed to ensure safe passage of DuraTech 6-inch chimney pipe through walls and structural assemblies. Built for use with wood stoves, fireplaces, furnaces, boilers, and all-fuel venting systems, it enhances chimney fire safety, draft performance, and structural protection. Featuring advanced Thermal Tech blanket insulation encased between dual walls, DuraTech maintains a cooler outer surface while supporting high flue gas temperatures for efficient operation.
Engineered for long-term performance, the DuraTech chimney system includes a 25% thicker inner wall for added safety and durability. The system is tested to rigorous UL 103HT standards, including continuous operation at 1000°F, one hour at 1400°F, and three 2100°F chimney fire tests. This pass-through radiation shield ensures code-compliant installation, improved clearance protection, and reliable performance in modern chimney venting systems.
