Empire manufactures log sets and burners to suit any application in sizes ranging from 18", 24" and 30", in Natural Gas and Propane.

Empire offer both ceramic fiber and traditional refractory concrete logs. Each log is hand-painted to bring out the rich detail.

Empire Vent-Free Burners are approved for use in any certified vent-free firebox. They may be also installed in an existing wood-burning fireplace, with the damper closed, to operate as a vent-free heating system.

A vent-free Millivolt Loft Burner may also be installed as a decorative appliance in a vented fireplace to provide ambiance and light – but without the heat. In a vented installation, the burner cannot be operated by thermostat, and the flue damper must be blocked open.  A damper clamp is included with all Loft burners.

Traditional Vent-Free Log Sets

From the curve of each log to the height of the stack, Empire Log Set complements the burner pattern for a lifelike fire. Complete the illusion with one of our optional Ember Bed Kits and Platinum Glowing Embers.

Empire Vent-Free log set creates a consistent, controlled heat – without dangerous flare-ups or chilling die-downs. These gas logs warm your room quickly and efficiently while using about half the energy of a vented gas log.

Vent-Free Contour Burners 

These systems combine the burner and log set into one package.  Because they require a minimum of just 12 inches firebox depth, these compact systems fit easily into most fireplaces.

• 18, 24 and 30-inch Vent-Free Burners – up to 40,000 BTUs
• Millivolt (VFDR), Manual (VFDM), and Thermostat (VFDT) models
• Special 10,000 Btu Millivolt model for bedroom applications (where allowed by code)

The vent-free contour burner available for Flint Hill includes three valve options:

• VFDM - Manual (No Remote Available) - operates manually with off/pilot/3 position heat setting knob; Cannot be used with wall thermostats or remotes
• VFDR* - Millivolt (Remote Available, Not Included) - uses Piezo Ignitor Button - Remote-Ready (Available Remotes / Thermostats in Options & Accessories - sold separately)
• VFDT - Thermostat (Knob Control, No Remote Available) - uses Piezo Ignitor Button; Five Position Manual Hi/Lo Thermostat Dial; Cannot be used with wall thermostats or remotes.

 *The 18" VFDR Burner (with Millivolt Control) is available for typical, living area installation or a special 10,000 BTU model for use in bedroom installations (VFDR18LB10) where allowable by code.

 

Both the Millivolt (VFDR) and Manual (VFDM) models can also be used in a Vented Applications without heat. When installed for vented use, it can only be used as decorative appliance and cannot be used with a thermostat. The fireplace damper must be blocked partially open (damper clamp included) and cannot be operated with a thermostat.
